The trip started at Glenbrook Station where we all met around 9:15 AM. I confirmed the numbers and gave an intro and safety briefing about the trip to the group.

After the briefing, we made our way to the bathrooms near the start of the jelly bean pool track. We started the walk onto the jelly bean pool track to hike through the Glenbrook gorge. As we were walking along the creek, we hit a tricky section. A member of the group pointed out that there is a trail along the tree line, so we followed it until it ended at a sandy beach with a shallow swimming hole.

From the swimming hole, we followed the creek up towards the nearby river where we had a lunch break. From what I observed from the beautiful lunch room overlooking a vertical cliff face, some of the boys were really good at skipping rocks over long distances.

After lunch I checked the map and realized the start of the ascent towards the portal Lookout was behind the area we where having lunch so we started to walk up towards the lookout there were a few tricky sections before we made it to the top. We had a look at the lookout position, which was a beautiful view of Penrith and the Nepean River then we began the very easy walk back to the train station. which involved walking along a fire trail going slightly off track down into the valley then back up through a staircase then back to the car park.
