We all meant at waterfall station with the confusion of the exact spot but it wasn’t long before we were gathered at the start of the track.

We headed down along the uloola trail that takes you to waterfall oval and then cross the oval back back on the fire trail again and turn on our trail. It was a bit of a disappointment to see that they had did some pruning as there was less buzzing bees.

As we head down to the gully the temperature dropped from warm, humid and then cool as we were in the rainforest. We had our first break down by the hacking river and then shortly crossed the river, where Linda almost lost her balance. We followed the Forrest path along the hacking river, passing Bola Creek picnic area and then we made our way to the trail Palona Cave.

By the time we got there we were able to see this limestone cave with its stalactites and stalagmites in different forms. We followed on the trail climb above the cascade and had lunch with our feet in small sink holes formed in the rocks.

Rong and Mei been more adventures sat over the most slippery spot using the waterholes to cool down their water bottles. For each attempt Rong tried to get up she kept slippery on her bottom each time with a laughter and a big smile, no injuries was caused.

Returning back along the trail we had the pleasure of been shown by a senior couple green and nodding orchids. We were soon at the starting point where the trains had just arrived at the precise moment. Thank you to the group it was nice to have meant you all.
