After a fantastic walk from Palm Beach south, towards the end of 2012, I decided it was now time to complete a little more of the Barrenjoey to Narrabeen Lakes Walk. I was this time joined by a great bunch of SUBW members meeting at Avalon Beach.

We motored along at a reasonable speed soon arriving at Newport Beach. Rhiannon had sent me a text which I hadn’t noticed until Bilgola to let me know she had been running late. We ended up having early morning tea while waited for her to join us. Rhianon joined us and we were soon back on task.

Martin and Dimitri could’t help themselves and headed for the beach at Bungan Beach, while us girls settled for chatting on the beach.

We had lunch at Warriewood Beach, where the SLSC was kind enough to fill up bottles.

I was particularly impressed with Narrabeen Lagoon and it’s calm waters and somewhat tranquil setting. In afterthoughts, I wish that we had stopped for a swim.

We finished our walk at Narrabeen Beach. Unfortunately our guinea pig Martin, was beaten up by the surf which resulted in us girls and Dimitri declining a swim. The water certainly looked choppy…

So I guess, without reasonable doubt my next walk on the Northern Beaches will be Narrabeen south to who knows where??? Look out for the ad and make sure you come along as the Northern Beaches are such an amazing part of Sydney.

Also, I would like to wish Martin best of luck on behalf of SUBW as he returns to Germany at the end of next month and also wish all members a Happy Easter!
