The Men and Women of SUBW nude calendar has made it’s highly anticipated return this year, just in time for Christmas! What could be better than a calendar full of stunning photographs of wilderness? What if you added a band of bushwalkers enjoying those spots in the most natural way possible? And how about having the profits go directly to an organisation that campaigns to protect and expand those amazing wild places? All funds raised this year will go directly towards the Colong Foundation’s Wild Rivers Campaign.
This campaign is about saving thousands of hectares of the southern Blue Mountains — home to endangered plants, animals, and irreplaceable Indigenous sites — from destruction.
The NSW Government wants to raise the Warragamba Dam wall, inundating one of the most significant natural landscapes in Australia.
Members of the Sydney University Bushwalkers have been visiting this area for seven decades, drawn by its pristine wild rivers and unique natural beauty. By baring all, we hope to not only raise money, but also community awareness of what is at risk.
You can find out more, sign the petition, and get involved in the campaign at: www.giveadam.org.au.
(P.S. A big thank you to the Fat Canyoners who will be donating an additional $1 to the cause for every calendar sold!)
