Description:
Gladstone and Roberts Passes exploratory walk Monday 2nd October.

This is an exploratory walk through passes that are not often visited in the Blue Mountains.

Be aware that this is not an easy walk. There are a couple of fairly steep descents and ascents on rough tracks, and Gladstone Pass can be slippery. There has been very little rain over the past several weeks in the Blue Mountains so it's a good time to be walking on tracks that can get muddy in normal weather.

For that reason I will ask you about previous walks experience.
The walk itself is not very long in distance: probably about 10km.

The weather forecast looks sunny for next Monday.

Need to bring 1.5 liters of water, lunch, good walking shoes (runners or Volleys are OK).
And some sort of rain cover - just in case.

Train fare from Central to Wentworth Falls is $5-95 off-peak each way (as it is a Public Holiday but not a Sunday) or $11-90 return. For students it is $2.97 off-peak each way (total for there and back is $5.94).

Expect to be back in Sydney by 6pm.

Meeting place and time etc will be advised once you sign on for this walk.

BE AWARE that Daylight Saving starts at 2am on Sunday October 1st, so don't get caught out! You move your clocks 1 hour ahead.

Also, the long term weather forecast indicates that the present long run of dry weather may well end in early October and more rain until December. So "make hay while the sun shines".
