Description:
SUBW: Bouddi National Park: Kilcare via Maitland Bay, Sunday 26/3.

There is room now for 4 more people, as someone has offered a car and can pick people up in Sydney (this pickup is not for those who already joined this walk - you still are train people).
It will cost you share petrol money for the return trip. Only about $13.
However you still have the option of taking the train direct to Woy Woy. Getting a lift of course means you are not going to risk missing the train!

This is a fairly easy walk with only fairly moderate grades along the way, and ends at a patrolled beach (Kilcare) where there will be opportunities to swim.
This is a coastal walk of about 8km in Bouddi National Park with Maitland Bay halfway along. The weather looks to be a good day with max 25 degrees C, with only a slight chance of a rain shower. so swimming is a definite option. The water is also nice and reasonably warm at present.
Because it involves a drive from Woy Woy to McMasters (or Kilcare Beach)by car, numbers will be limited according to how many people with cars can come (if it's only me then it will be a 5 person walk!).
If I can get 2 cars, then the walk will be from Macmasters to Kilcare one way.
If I get only one car (mine), it will be a loop starting and ending at Kilcare, and via Maitland Bay and Strom's Forest trail.
Therefore only put your name down if you are really serious about coming (especially if you can bring a car). Plan is to meet up at Woy Woy station (time to be confirmed but it won't be too early). Non-car people can come up by train (note: there is trackwork that weekend on the Inner West Line - buses replace trains, and they can be very slow).
Need to bring: lunch, at least 1.5 Litres water (NO LESS - no drinking water available en route, and no shops), suitable shoes (volleys or runners OK), sunscreen, swim clothes if want to go swimming. You can put your name down via the SUBW walks list but you will only be confirmed once I can be sure of another car coming.

SUBW/Subwoir members only of course.
