Mailing lists - Sydney University Bushwalkers

SUBW runs two mailing lists: subw-announce (for announcements and trip reports only) and subw (for everything else). All mail sent to subw-announce also goes to subw. There can be prolonged discussions on subw.

Please remember - send walk and event announcements to subw-announce, other stuff goes to subw. Do NOT send subscribe or unsubscribe requests to either list - if you need to contact a human administrator, use subw-admin@lists.anatomy.usyd.edu.au. Familiarise yourself with the Club Rescue Information, Trip Leaders' Checklist and the club's OH+S Policy before announcing a walk.

How to join the lists

You can join or leave the lists over the web: subw-announce, subw.

If you don't have web access, you can use the following:

  • To add yourself to the subw-announce email list, email 
        subw-announce-request@lists.anatomy.usyd.edu.au
    with the word 
        subscribe
    in the body of the message.

  • To add yourself to the subw email list, email 
        subw-request@lists.anatomy.usyd.edu.au
    with the word 
        subscribe
    in the body of the message.

  • You should only ever need to join one of the lists, since all mail sent to subw-announce goes to subw automatically.

Unsubscribing

To unsubscribe from the lists, follow the appropriate link - SUBW or SUBW-ANNOUNCE - and then
  • enter your email address under "Edit Options" (at the bottom of the page)
  • use "email my password to me" (if you don't know it)
  • use your password to unsubscribe.
